Payson City Utility Account Termination

To terminate your utility account you may call 801.465.5200 or visit the Utility Office at 439 W Utah Ave, Payson, UT 84651

You must provide the following information:

• A forwarding address
• The date to end utility services

Vacant and/or Rental and Lease Properties

The City wants to make everyone aware of the Landlord utility responsibilities.

With the increasing number of rental properties in Payson City, the City has felt a need to address an issue occurring with vacant leased and/or rental units and uncollectable accounts associated with these units.

Beginning May 1, 2022, Payson City will bill for all services connected to the City utilities, whether a rental or leased property is vacant or not.

All utility accounts will be billed the base rate for water, sewer, and garbage, as well as the usage rate. Property owners may request to have these utilities/service for vacant units turned off by paying the $30 disconnection fee (subject to change). Reconnection of these utilities/services is an additional $30 (subject to change).

Pressurized irrigation and storm drain services/fees will be billed on all accounts regardless of vacancy or disconnect.
